Gold Vermeil Stud Earrings: Lapis Lazuli

About the Product

Our contemporary earrings are designed and handmade in our UK workshop. Each earring of this Barrow design is made from a handcarved oval cabochon set into a classic bezel setting made from sterling silver, plated to gold vermeil standard. Both the pin and butterfly back are made of 9 carat gold. The oval earring face measures 12mm x 8mm.

About the Stone

Lapis Lazuli is perhaps the best known gemstone. A mineral prized by royalty and artists throughout history for its vibrant ultramarine colour. Most Lapis Lazuli is mined in Afghanistan, and it comes in many variations, sometimes including flecks of gold pyrite which make it resemble the starry night sky. It is considered a symbol of wisdom
